# Slit coupling A long, clamping slit shaft coupling: one aluminium body with slits between two clamping hubs. Axis along Z, an end face on the XY plane, bore d1 in the lower half of the length and d2 in the upper. A slit coupling is not a helical beam coupling, which is a different part. ## Source MISUMI Couplings catalogue, *Slit Couplings, Clamping, Short/Long*, CPLCN columns, , PDF page 8: outside diameter D, length L, hub length l, screw M, positions A and F, and the bore pairs offered on each size. Every pair the table offers on these sizes is a preset. The 40 mm size has a different hub and isn't here. **Proportions, for looks only:** how many slits, their width and depth, and the clamp slit's width. The table doesn't dimension them, so don't read stiffness from this model. The screws aren't modelled, only their holes at nominal M.
