# Molded power inductor Molded SMD power inductors in the Sunlord MWSA-S sizes: the body and the two terminals underneath. The inductor is centred on the origin, sitting on the XY plane, with the terminals at the -X and +X ends. Inductance doesn't change the outside, except the terminal width of three sizes (below). ## Source Sunlord, "Molded SMD Power Inductors – MWSA-S Series", revised 2023/1/11: Shape and Dimensions table (page 2) and its Remarks table (page 3). The copy read is the one attached to a TI E2E forum post, `https://e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/196/MWSA_2D00_S-series-of-SMD-Power-Inductor_2D00_1.pdf`. The table gives, per size, A (width), B (length, terminal end to terminal end), C (height), D (terminal length) and E (terminal width), each nominal ± tolerance. The model uses the middle of each range. A few values are printed as a maximum only (MWSA1003S and MWSA1005S length 11.5, MWSA1204S height 4.0, MWSA1265S height 6.5, MWSA1707S width 17.15); the model uses that maximum. MWSA1204S, MWSA1205S and MWSA1206S have two terminal widths, 3.85 ± 0.5 or 5.0 ± 0.3 mm, set by inductance value in the Remarks table. Each has one preset per width (for example `MWSA1206S-E5.0`), found by any of its part numbers (for example `MWSA1206S-100`); the `e_mm` parameter sets the width by hand. The datasheet draws MWSA1707S and MWSA2213S slightly differently, with the terminals set into the ends; the model shapes them the same as the others. **Proportions, for looks only:** the terminals' 0.1 mm thickness under the body. Recommended land pattern sizes aren't modelled. Other makers' molded inductors and Sunlord's other series aren't here yet; see `COVERAGE.md`.
