# FH12 FPC connector

Hirose FH12 0.5 mm pitch FPC/FFC connectors, right angle, bottom contact, with the flip-lock actuator: FH12-**S-0.5SH(55), 6 to 53 contacts. The model has the housing, the closed actuator with the FPC opening, the contact tails and the two fitting nails. The contacts run along X, centred on X; the housing's rear edge (the contact tail side) is on Y = 0 with the tails toward +Y, and the FPC goes in from -Y; the housing underside is on the XY plane. The (55) suffix is Hirose's packaging code for the same part.

From sheets 1/5 (34 contacts or less) and 2/5 (35 or more), which give the same section dimensions:

- pitch 0.5 ± 0.1, contact width (0.2), tails 0.8 ± 0.2 beyond the housing's rear edge;
- housing depth 4.6 ± 0.2, 5.6 ± 0.3 over the actuator;
- height 2 ± 0.2 over the housing underside (reference b); actuator 1.85 ± 0.2 high;
- fitting nails 1.2 ± 0.2 wide, 2 ± 0.2 from the housing's rear edge;
- detail a: FPC thickness t = 0.3, (0.55) above the underside, inserted (3.4) from the housing front.

The model uses the nominal values. The fitting nails run from E to D, partly under the housing.

**Proportions, for looks only:** the contact tails' 0.1 mm thickness, and the fitting nails' 0.8 mm height up the housing ends, and the line between the actuator and the housing on top (0.1 mm wide and deep). The FPC opening is drawn the FPC's own thickness (0.3) at its drawn height. The actuator is a plain block (the drawing's rounded front edge isn't modelled), and the contacts inside the housing aren't modelled.
