# Steel angle (EN 10056-1)

Hot-rolled equal and unequal leg steel angles (L sections) at any length.

## Geometry

Leg **a** along +Y and leg **b** along +X from the heel at the origin (a ≥ b), thickness **t**, root radius **r1**
between the legs and toe radius **r2** at the end of each leg, extruded along +Z by `length`. Section area and mass
follow the standard's tables.

EN 10056-1, *Structural steel equal and unequal leg angles — Part 1: Dimensions*: a, b, t, r1, r2. The 1998 edition

Corrected in this audit: 60x30x5 r1 / r2 5 / 2.5 -> 6 / 3 (Roymech, koyda); 100x50x10 removed (in none of the
sources, so its radii are unsourced).

Catalogue sizes that EN 10056-1 does not list (for example 150 × 150 × 14 or 160 × 160 × 12) have no sourced root
and toe radii and are not presets.

Generic equal angles of the catalogue (leg length and piece length only) become presets of the EN 10056-1 section
whose thickness their own reference model has (30 × 30 × 3 and 40 × 40 × 4, at the entry's length; checked privately by
volume, a match only). Their 10 × 10 × 1.5 and 20 × 20 × 2 angles are not EN 10056-1 sizes and are not presets.
